Penelec will conduct tree trimming along transmission and distribution circuits over the next several months.
A company news release says locations include Oil City, Franklin, Tionesta, Knox, Titusville and Brookville.
Penelec works with municipalities to notify customers living near company rights-of-way before work begins.
Work includes inspecting vegetation near lines to ensure trees are pruned in a way that preserves the health of the tree while maintaining safety near electric facilities.
Trees that are diseased or present a danger may be removed.
