PA man held in Kentucky on charge he killed ex

BEAVER, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man has been arrested in Kentucky after being charged with slaying his ex-girlfriend in her Pennsylvania apartment.

Twenty-six-year-old Edward Lowe Baker Jr. was arrested Tuesday about 3:40 a.m. in Winchester, Kentucky, where officers spotted him after the Pennsylvania State Police issued a bulletin for his arrest.

Baker is charged with criminal homicide in the death of 30-year-old Addaleigh (AD’-ah-lay) Huzyak, who was found dead in her Beaver apartment Tuesday morning after she didn’t show up for work.

Authorities haven’t said how she was killed.

Beaver police Commander Eric Hermick says investigators believe Baker killed the woman late Sunday then fled after also taking a gun and leaving a suicide note at his father’s home.

Police broadcast a description of the car they believed Baker was driving before he was jailed in Kentucky.
