Oil Heritage Festival parade, art show winners named

The Oil Heritage Festival parade was held Saturday with the theme of “Oil City: A Transportation Hub Then and Now.”

Performing groups, gymnastics – Oil City Tri-Stars seniors, first; Oil City Tri-Stars juniors, second.

Novelty groups, musical performance – Mostly Brass, first

Novelty groups, non-musical performance – YMCA Aquatics, first; Oil City High School Class of 1975, second

Floats and walking groups, commercial – 4 Your Car Connection, first; Paws Plus, second

Floats and walking groups, non-profit – Heckathorn United Methodist Halos Softball, first; American Cancer Society Relay 4 Life, second

The Venango Area Chamber of Commerce has ordered trophies and expects to have them available for pickup by Tuesday at its office at 24 Seneca St. in Oil City. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Art show winners

The winners of the Oil Heritage Festival art shows have been announced.

In the main show there were 32 artists with 90 works hung.

The children and young adult show featured 59 artists with 159 works hung.

The photography show featured 44 artists with 120 works hung.
