Oil City woman facing second set of drug charges

An Oil City woman already accused of selling drugs to undercover buyers is facing additional drug-related charges after police searched her residence and found drugs and paraphernalia.

Three bricks of heroin along with baggies and other drug paraphernalia were found in the Glenview Avenue residence of Jodi Slaugenhaupt, 56, Sugarcreek Borough police said in a criminal complaint.

Slaugenhaupt told police she was packaging the heroin for resale, according to the complaint.

Slaugenhaupt has been charged with felony counts of engaging in criminal conspiracy-criminal use of a communication facility and engaging in criminal conspiracy-manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, and misdemeanor counts of engaging in criminal conspiracy-possession of a controlled substance and engaging in criminal conspiracy-use/ possession of drug paraphernalia.

Slaugenhaupt has also been charged in connection with three undercover buys of heroin laced with fentanyl between December 2019 and July 2020 at various locations in Venango County, Sugarcreek police said in another criminal complaint.

In that case, Slaugenhaupt was charged with three felony counts each of engaging in criminal conspiracy-criminal use of a communication facility and engaging in criminal conspiracy-manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture and three misdemeanor counts each of engaging in criminal conspiracy- possession of a controlled substance and engaging in criminal conspiracy-use/ possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was placed in the Venango County jail after being unable to post bail, and preliminary hearings in both cases are scheduled today in Central Court.
