The Oil City Area School Board on Monday night approved to extend the Act 93 administrator compensation agreement through June 30, 2022.

“It affects all administrators below superintendent and provides language on increases in compensation, if there are any, and paid sick days and vacation days,” Superintendent Pat Gavin said. “They’re not part of any union, so this is what protects their interests.”

The plan guarantees that base salary increases for administrators with good performance is equal to the average teacher salary increase as per the current teacher contract.

Act 93 also provides for a retirement package, giving administrators dental, life and health insurance until they reach age 65.
