Oil City police have filed assault charges against a 58-year-old man following an incident Tuesday at a residence on Hone Avenue.
A criminal complaint filed with district judge Andrew Fish says Austin Lawrence kicked in the door to a juvenile girl’s bedroom and yelled at her to clean the home.
Lawrence then grabbed her, pulled her off the bed toward the hallway and, in the process, caused a cut on her right foot, the complaint said.
The injury required stitches, the complaint said.
Lawrence has been charged with simple assault and harassment.
He was arraigned before Fish and released on $35,000 unsecured bail.
A preliminary hearing has been tentatively scheduled for Wednesday in Venango County Central Court.
