OC woman’s body pulled from Sage Run

An Oil City woman was pronounced dead Tuesday after her body was pulled out of Sage Run near Riverside Drive in Cranberry Township.

Roxanne Wassil, 32, was found in the creek at about 6 p.m. and transported to UPMC Northwest, where she was pronounced dead, Venango County Coroner Christina Rugh said.

Rugh said an autopsy is scheduled at noon today.

Franklin state police community service officer Michelle McGee said police are investigating and no foul play is suspected at this time.

Seneca and Oil City firefighters and Community Ambulance Service also responded to the scene, Venango County 911 said.
