Pizza Hut in Oil City is on pace to reopen Monday.

The restaurant on Seneca Street has been closed since late September to allow for extensive interior and exterior renovations.

Reck Construction Inc., of Oil City, is nearing completion of the project this week.

Work has included a complete remake of the dining room area, window replacements, new restrooms, new flooring, the installation of a new roof, updated lighting, paving of the parking lot and more.

Area manager Steve Chisholm and store manager Linda Silvis said Wednesday all that is left to do is some minor trim work and bringing in the product to begin preparation for next week.

Silvis said the hope is that the new, modern look will draw a crowd to the dining room in a store that has traditionally performed well with take-out and carry-out orders.

“It’s a big renovation,” Chisholm said. “I think the town is going to love it.”
