No in-person learning at Grove through Dec. 4

From staff reports

Valley Grove School District will remain closed to in-person learning through Friday, Dec. 4, as elementary and high school students continue remote learning.

A letter posted Wednesday to the district’s website said the decision was made due to current COVID-19 data.

An update for the learning plan as of Dec. 7 will be provided as soon as the district has updated information, the letter said.

Superintendent Kevin Briggs, in a separate letter posted Wednesday, said another high school student and an elementary school student have tested positive for COVID-19.

Briggs’ letter said the district is working with the state Department of Health to identify and notify any close contacts to the reported cases.
