New Goodwill store opens in Tionesta

From staff reports

TIONESTA – Goodwill Industries of North Central Pennsylvania is opening a new store today at 111 Faulkner Drive, Tionesta, in the Farm Fresh Foods location.

This location is a unique Goodwill Store and Goodwill NCPA’s first store within another business.

At the location, Goodwill is creating new jobs and providing job training and education to residents in Forest County. Farm Fresh Foods owner Jeff Wiggers believes this partnership will be mutually beneficial and help the community.

“Partnerships are most successful when all parties involved share core values and common goals. The community, Goodwill and Farm Fresh Foods all know we can improve lives if we work together. This will be a definite win, win, win for everyone,” Wiggers said.

Goodwill will work closely with the Forest Area Schools to provide training opportunities in the new store for students in the Goodwill Works Education partnership.

“Students will have a chance to develop work readiness skills at an on-the-job site and potentially progress to becoming an employee if things go well for them,” said Amanda Hetrick, Forest Area Schools superintendent.
