Mission accomplished

Area residents who took to the road Friday night to drop off several truckloads of supplies to help farmers affected by recent floods in the Midwest arrived at Sydney, Iowa, on Saturday. On Friday, Rouseville resident J.R. Byers said the group was taking 40 tons of hay, 6 tons of grain, more than $2,000 worth of vaccinations, about 100 pairs of rubber boots and items for daily living. The caravan included two tractor-trailers, five pickup trucks with trailers and 19 people. (Photo provided by Fremont County Iowa Emergency Management personnel)
