Memorial landing dedicated

The Oil Creek Memorial Landing at 575 N. Seneca St. in Oil City was dedicated Saturday. The water access and trailhead were developed by the Oil Region Alliance of Business, Industry & Tourism, and ORA President and CEO John R. Phillips II is pictured at the podium. Cathy Mason (at left in red), one of the former property owners, is standing next to her husband. The site includes 12 parking spots, (two of which are ADA-compliant), benches, bike racks, stairs leading to the business next door, and a pollinator garden designed to nurture butterflies and bees. There is access for kayakers and for anglers to fish Oil Creek. More than 30 people attended the ceremony, including several elected officials and members of the ORA board and staff.
