Man pleads guilty to homicide by vehicle charge

From staff reports

A Corsica man pleaded guilty Wednesday in Clarion County court to a homicide by vehicle charge in connection with a 2017 crash that killed a Fryburg woman.

Wayne Andrew Wilson Jr., 29, entered guilty pleas to charges of homicide by vehicle while under the influence and DUI-controlled substance.

Wilson was driving a Mercury Montego at about 6:30 a.m. Oct. 31, 2017, that entered Route 208 from Sunny Road in Washington Township and traveled directly into the path of a vehicle driven by Kami Dinger, 44, of Fryburg, according to Marienville state police.

Dinger was killed in the crash.

State police determined that Wilson was speeding and didn’t stop at a stop sign before the crash.

Wilson could face up to 10 years in state prison for the homicide by vehicle charge and up to five years for the DUI charge.

He will complete a pre-sentence investigation prior to his sentencing.
