Man facing charge in second trespass case

From staff reports

An Oil City man who is already facing charges for entering a residence he had been evicted from is now facing an additional trespass charge in connection with an earlier incident in which he entered the same residence.

Oil City police said in a criminal complaint that on Dec. 14 they made contact with a woman who owns a house on East Second Street and two men who were assisting her who told them they had found Jacob Lawall, 44, in a bedroom of the home, but he had fled before police arrived.

Police found numerous items belonging to Lawall in the bedroom, the complaint said. Lawall was evicted from the house in September, according to the complaint.

Lawall had already been charged after police found him Dec. 17 on the second floor of the East Second Street residence and took him into custody, police said.

The owner of the residence told officers that Lawall had caused damage to the residence after he was evicted, the complaint said.

Lawall has been charged in the Dec. 14 incident with a felony count of criminal trespass-enter structure.

In the other case, Lawall has been charged with felony counts of burglary-overnight accommodation, no person present and criminal trespass-enter structure as well as misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief and defiant trespass.

Preliminary hearings are scheduled Jan. 5 in Venango County Central Court.
