Man facing assault, resisting arrest, DUI charges after crash

John Beighle, 34, from Butler, faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and DUI, after crashing his vehicle into a ditch in Irwin Township. When police arrived, Beighle showed signs of being under the influence and admitted to using several drugs. At the hospital, he became combative, kicking both a trooper and a security officer. After being restrained and taken to the state police barracks, he continued to resist. At Venango County jail, corrections officers found drugs, including 142 pills and LSD strips, in his belongings. Beighle was arraigned and jailed after failing to post bail, with a preliminary hearing set for next Wednesday.
