Man arrested, police seek woman after drugs, gun found

Sugarcreek Borough police are looking for a Franklin woman after a traffic stop in Reno on Wednesday led to the discovery of marijuana and an illegal firearm in a vehicle.

Police said that after they stopped Asia Hall, 21, for speeding at about 5:45 p.m. on Allegheny Boulevard and Third Street, officers detected a strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

A criminal complaint filed by police said officers then discovered that a passenger in the vehicle, Dylan Wagner, 18, of Oil City, had an outstanding warrant through the Venango County Sheriff’s Office, and police arrested him.

The complaint says that as Wagner spread his legs, a revolver fell from the waistband of his shorts. The revolver’s serial number was scratched off and two live rounds were found in its chamber, the complaint said.

Wagner was taken into custody, and he admitted that a bag containing marijuana, digital scales, 10 baggies, a grinder and other containers that had been at his feet in the vehicle belonged to him, the complaint said.

A further search of Hall’s vehicle revealed more digital scales and baggies, as well as an additional 105.5 grams of marijuana that had been packaged for distribution, police said.

Police said both Wagner and Hall had more than $1,000 in cash on them.

Wagner was taken into custody for the warrant and has been placed in the Venango County jail, police said.

He has been charged with felony counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, possessing a firearm without a license and possessing a firearm with an altered manufacturer number; and a misdemeanor count of use-possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said an active felony warrant has been issued for Hall. She will be charged with a felony count of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and a misdemeanor count of use-possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police are asking anyone with information about Hall to contact them at (814) 437-3703.
