Local Boy Scout conducting food drive Sept. 28

From staff reports

A local Boy Scout is conducting a food drive Saturday, Sept. 28, to benefit St. Patrick Church’s community food pantry.

Non-perishable items like canned fruits, vegetables and meats, as well as boxed food items, will be collected as part of Jackson Donovan’s Eagle Scout project. He is part of Troop 11 in Oil City.

The food pantry is located at the corner of 10th and Buffalo streets in Franklin.

People may take their donations to the location between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. There will be a designated area for people to pull in their vehicles. Volunteers will retrieve the donations, so there will be no need for people to exit their vehicles.

Bottled items will not be accepted.
