Live2Lead conference to feature business leaders

From staff reports

An upcoming conference titled “Live2Lead NOW!” will offer local businesses, organizations, and community leaders the opportunity to be inspired by people who share a passion for leadership and learning.

The conference, which is being offered by Clarion University’s Small Business Development Center, will feature the Rev. John C. Maxwell, a speaker, coach, and leadership expert.

This is the fifth year the Live2Lead conference has been offered at Zion Church, 114 Zion Road in Clarion.

There will be two options for people to attend this year’s conference: an in-person simulcast of the event held in Atlanta which includes facilitated group exercises with those in attendance on Thursday, Oct. 28, or a virtual Zoom webinar that will include group discussion on Thursday, Nov. 4.

Both events will start at 8:30 a.m. with the program beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding at 3 p.m.

Maxwell is a best-selling author who has sold more than 30 million books and has been identified as a top leader in business by the American Management Association and the world’s most influential leadership expert by Business Insider magazine.

Other presenters will include author Jeff Henderson, author, and cosmetics company founder Jamie Kerr Lima, life strategist Valorie Burton, and business leader Ed Mylett.

“I think anybody who attends is going to see the value,” said Susan Hileman, president of RED Day Communications, a certified John Maxwell team member and facilitator of the event.

“Whether you’re the leader of a large organization or you just want to be a better mentor to those around you. This is an event that provides a lot of takeaways. We encourage everybody to bring their teams, bring their aspiring leaders or those who just want to be reenergized,” Hileman said.
