Little Shop of Horrors is a delectable sci-fi horror comedy musical with an electrifying 1950s pop/rock score by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman.

Seymour, played by junior Isaac Rivers, is a cowardly, naive and put-on clerk at Mushnik’s Flower Shop. Mushnik is played by sophomore Ethan Heeter.

Mushnik is an immigrant from Eastern Europe and a failure as an East Side — Skid Row — florist. Seymour has a crush on Audrey, played by senior Makenzie Byerley, a sweet but self-deprecating girl with a troubled past, who also works at Mushnik’s.

She dates, Orin Scrivello, DDS, played by senior Mason Burns. Orin is a tall, dark and handsome dentist, an egotistical pretty-boy with abusive tendencies.

Seymour buys a strange and interesting plant, which he affectionately names Audrey Two, portrayed by junior Sal Amato, who develops a soulful R and B voice and an unquenchable thirst for human blood.

The Nonet of Ronnette, Crystal and Chiffon is comprised of Mira Dixon (front), Carla Schoeppner, Jaclyn Frye, McKenna Deible (middle), Rori Vickers, Mikayla Scheckler, Talia Jones (back), Lexi Henry and Jessica Servey.

The show is supported by the Nonet, a group of teenage dropouts who sing Doo-wop style back up throughout. As Audrey II grows bigger and meaner, the carnivorous plant promises limitless fame and fortune to Seymour, as long as he continues providing a fresh supply of blood.
