Cranberry students Dodge Peterson, Ashlynn Collins and Ellabay Perry were honored with the Lion’s Club’s Service, Effort and Initiative awards Monday during the club’s meeting.

Peterson, an eighth grader, is the son of Stephanie and Thomas Peterson of Cranberry. Collins, a seventh grader, is the daughter of Michelle Collins of Cranberry and Nathan Collins of Clintonville. Perry, a seventh grader, is the daughter of Lacy and Ryan Perry of Venus.
The biannual award recognizes three seventh and or eighth grade students that demonstrate exemplary service, effort and initiative, not only in their school, but also in the community.

The winners were nominated and selected by their teachers and guidance counselor. Lori Vonada, a Cranberry High School counselor, announced the winners at the meeting. Each winner received a certificate, gift card, and numerous other gifts from the Cranberry Lions Club.
