Here is today’s schedule of events at the Venango County Fair:
9 to 11 a.m. – Judging of 4-H clothing and textile projects – Log Cabin
9 a.m. – Judging of all non-animal exhibits (Exhibit halls will be closed to the public until judging is completed)
9 a.m. – 4-H and open dairy goat show – Phillips Arena
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – “Make it” at the Fair – different project every hour. Limit first 30 children per project – GEMS – Log Cabin
Noon – DCNR Forestry – animal fur presentation
1 to 5 p.m. – Gameland
1 p.m. – Barnyard Olympics – hay bale throwing contest – Phillips Arena
2 p.m. – 4-H and open market meat goat show – Phillips Arena
5 p.m. – 4-H game horse show – Kiwanis Bowl
5 p.m. – 4-H and open sheep show – Phillips Arena
6 p.m. – Baked goods auction – Foster/Bullock
6 p.m. – Live music by Backporch Gold – Scrubgrass Stage
6-8 p.m. – Bingo – Gameland
6-9 p.m. – Dragonfly Balloons – Kelly’s Korner
7 p.m. – Demolition derby (compacts, midsize cars and minivans) – Main Stage/Pulling Track
Other events include Kent Family Circus, Bear Hollow wood carving show and hot dog pig racing
The fairgrounds close at 11 p.m.
