Members of the THS Student United Way/Rotary Interact, along with the United Way of
the Titusville Region, are asking the community to help “Stuff the Bus.”

Stuff the bus is a program designed to allow individuals to donate school items to be given to students in need of supplies for the new school year. Last year’s collection yielded over 10,000 school items that were distributed.

Members of the THS Student United Way/Rotary Interact will be collecting donations in a bus, which is being provided by Northwest Bus. The bus will be featured in the Oil Festival Parade and will be at Walmart on Aug. 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Aug. 13 from noon until 6 p.m. to accept donations. Donations can also be made at the United Way booth at the Oil Festival, located on Central Avenue.

Donations will be sorted and delivered to local organizations and each of the elementary buildings within the Titusville Area School District to be distributed to local families and children in the community.

For more information on joining the THS Student United Way or Stuff the Bus, contact United Way of the Titusville Region at (814) 827-1322.

Needed items are: Pencils, pens, crayons, glue/glue sticks, highlighters, washable markers, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, colored pencils, calculators, rulers, erasers, notebooks, backpacks, and lunch boxes. This year, donations of underwear and socks for children ages 4-6, to cover in-school “accidents,” are requested. Cash donations are also accepted and will be used to purchase additional supplies.
