Rocky Grove High School won two awards in a Paint the Plow contest sponsored by PennDOT. Rocky Grove won the Fan Favorite award, which was decided in online voting, and the Judges Pick, which was chosen by PennDOT employees at the Venango County maintenance facility. The plow depicts a muscular Oriole named “The Best of the Nest” and the PennDOT-themed message “Don’t Crowd the Plow.” Pictured are, from left, Rocky Grove art teacher Kylie Allen, senior students Austin Zinz and Emily Marvin and Valley Grove School Board president Melanie Anderson. The plows decorated by the various high school students are being used to maintain state-owned roads this winter. (Submitted photo)
