Free tax preparation services available

The Senior Volunteer Program of Venango County, in conjunction with the AARP Tax-Aide Program, will offer free tax preparation services.

Tax counselors who have been trained and certified through the Internal Revenue Service can help people prepare basic tax forms and standard schedules as well as property tax/rent rebate forms from the following locations:

— Cranberry Place, Cranberry Mall – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 4 through April 8; individuals should arrive no later than 2 p.m.

— Titusville Active Aging – by appointment only, which may be arranged by calling (814) 827-9134.

Trained volunteers will prepare federal, state and local income tax and property tax/rent rebate forms. Free electronic filing will be provided at each location.
