Butler state police responded to a fatal crash on William Flynn Highway north of Slippery Rock Township, in Butler County Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Police say Donald James Phenicie, 43, of Franklin, was operating a 2012 Harley Davidson with Raegan Lynn Phenicie, 42, of Franklin, seated on the motorcycle behind him. Donald Phenicie approached a group of stopped vehicles on the highway that were waiting to turn.
He attempted to slow the motorcycle and lost control. Both Donald and Raegan Lynn Phenicie were ejected from the motorcycle. Raegan Lynn Phenicie suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
Police say neither were wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Butler state police were assisted on the scene by Slippery Rock EMS and Slippery Rock Fire Department.
