Franklin students earn top honors at competition

Franklin Middle School K’Nex STE(A)M Design Challenge team members Erin Janidlo, Christine Chen, Joshua Brenan, Joe Martin, and Carson Hittle (not pictured) show off their theme park ride design that took first place at a competition at the Riverview Intermediate Unit. The design was a swing ride that took inspiration from Disney’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. The goal was to design and build a ride that utilized clean energy. More than ten area schools participated in the event. The Franklin Middle School team will travel to Harrisburg in May to participate in the state competition. (Submitted photo)
