The City of Franklin street department will pick up leaves with its vacuum machines next week, weather permitting, in the following areas:
Monday – Gurney Road side of Franklin Heights; also, bagged leaf pick-ups throughout the city.
Tuesday and Wednesday – Gurney Road and Greentree sides of Franklin Heights.
Thursday – Gurney Road side of Franklin Heights.
Friday – leaf piles in the first and second wards; also, bagged leaf pick-up throughout the city.
Residents should rake their leaves to the edge of their front lawns, not onto the street, for pickup by city crews.
City workers will pick up biodegradable bags (no plastic bags) of leaves on Monday and Friday.
