The Franklin street department will pick up leaves with the vacuum machines this week in the following areas:
– Oak Hill area on Monday. There will also be bagged leaf pick-up throughout the city.
– Oak Hill area and Myrtle Circle on Tuesday.
– Third Ward area on Wednesday.
– Gurney Road side of Franklin Heights on Thursday.
– Gurney Road side of Franklin Heights on Friday. There will also be bagged leaf pick-up throughout the city.
Residents are asked to rake their leaves to the edge of their front lawns, not on the street, for pick-up by the city crews.
Mechanical breakdowns or inclement weather may cause some delays or rescheduling.
The City will pick up paper biodegradable bags of leaves, not plastic bags, on Monday and Friday of this week.
