The City of Franklin street department will pick up leaves with the vacuum machines next week in the following areas:
Monday: Gurney Road side of Franklin Heights and bagged leaves pickup throughout the city.
Tuesday: Odd side of Elk and Buffalo from 11th to 15th and 11th; even side of Otter from 11th to 15th and Gurney Road side of Franklin Heights
Thursday: Even side of Franklin Avenue, Eagle and 14th; odd side of Chestnut from 11th to 15th, 12th, South Park and Gurney Road side of Franklin Heights.
Friday: Odd side of Franklin Avenue, Eagle and 14th; even side of Chestnut, 11th to 15th, 12th, Gurney Road side of Franklin Heights and bagged leaves pickup throughout the city.
There will also be bagged leaf pick-ups throughout the city.
Residents are asked to rake their leaves to the edge of their front lawns, not on the street, for pick-up by the city crews.
The city will also pick up paper biodegradable bags of leaves (no plastic bags) Monday and Friday.
Anyone with questions can call the city garage from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at (814) 437-1600.
Residents are reminded to observe the temporary No Parking signs to keep from getting ticketed.
