A Franklin High School student worked with Boy Scout Troop 34 to complete his Eagle Scout project at Franklin City Hall over the weekend.

When Sam Pfohl, 16, heard that the planters in front of City Hall had become overgrown and were filled with weeds, he chose to make City Hall his project beneficiary.

Over the past year, Pfohl researched plants, collected donations and met with landscapers.

He created a new design for the landscaping and organized clean-up and planting by working with the Franklin Gardeners Association and city officials.

The project was completed over the weekend with the help of local soccer players and Boy Scout Troop 34 under the leadership of Scoutmaster Vince Bastecki.
