The seventh annual flag retirement ceremony in Franklin will be held at 6 p.m. Friday in Bandstand Park.
During the event, which is open to the public, flags will be properly retired, and Franklin Elks Lodge No. 110 will hold its annual Flag Day service.
The event is being organized by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard, Franklin Elks Lodge No. 110, Gardinier Funeral Home, Boy Scouts of Franklin, the Franklin Commission to Remember Our Heroes and the United Military Support Group.
