Fire destroys Clintonville home

A house burns at 368 Weldon Road in Clintonville early Friday morning. “I’d rule it a total loss, but we were able to save a few items,” Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jerry Rea said. There were no injuries from the blaze, which was reported at about 1 a.m., but one man was transported to the hospital because his vital signs were high, according to Rea. A state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire. Clintonville Fire Department was assisted by Polk, Emlenton, Harrisville, Sandy Creek, Grove City and Pine Township Volunteer Fire Departments, as well as Superior Ambulance. The scene was cleared at about 3:30 a.m. (Submitted photo)
