A new family-owned business that specializes in selling antiques, furniture, home decor and artificial flower arrangements among its unique goods has opened in Franklin.

Downtown Wildflowers Company, located at 309 13th St., is owned by Franklin residents Malett and Marcus Kehoe and Cortland, Ohio, residents Shane and Kacee Amsler.

A grand opening will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

“I remember growing up and mom taking me and my brother to estate sales and old barns to pick through and find some gems in the bunch,” said Kacee Amsler, who is the daughter of Malett and Marcus Kehoe. “We’ve always dreamed of opening a family store.

“Luckily, my husband loves doing this … so we decided to go ahead and open a business in our beautiful fairy-tale town. I feel like it’s getting back to what small-town life is all about. I love seeing the storefronts filled with amazing restaurants and places to shop.”
