The event is sponsored by the Clarion County YMCA and the Oil City YMCA. Admission is free and open to the entire community.

“Exciting outdoor activities are planned to appeal to everyone in the family,” organizers said.

The event serves as a preview to YMCA Summer Day Camp which is available to children in the Clarion and Venango County areas.

Activities include kids’ games and prizes, a book fair, a bounce house, an obstacle course, fishing and boating and more.

Camp Coffman tours will be given and families are encouraged to hike and tour the camp grounds. Zip line rides will be available from noon to 3 p.m. for $5 each.

Concessions will be available for purchase.

Camp Coffman is located off Route 322 at 4072 Camp Coffman Road in Cranberry. It is centrally located near the border of Venango and Clarion counties near the village of Kossuth.

It is a 240-acre camp owned and operated by the Oil City YMCA.

Camp Coffman’s regular features include its wooded setting with a unique swinging bridge over East Sandy Creek. Hiking trails on the property lead to Deer Rock, Balancing Rock and throughout the forest.

Six cabins, a family lodge, or a bunkhouse are available for overnight stays. Tipis rentals are also available.
