Venango County Children, Youth and Family Services, in conjunction with Venango County President Judge Oliver J. Lobaugh, are holding a Family Finding training from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Quality Inn in Franklin.
The training is part of Venango County’s selection as a phase two county in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Family Engagement Initiative.
Training will be led by Kevin Campbell, developer of the Family Finding Model, who offers strategies to locate and engage relatives of children currently living in out-of-home care.
The model’s goal is to create connections for children who are either in danger of being removed from their homes or have been removed from their homes.
Lunch will be provided during the event.
