Emlenton man assigned as new game warden

From staff reports

Ethan Beale, of Fenelton, Butler County, has been named game warden for eastern Venango County, Northwest Region Director Richard T. Cramer announced in a news release from the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

“I grew up with a state games land as my back yard; so I developed a deep-rooted love of hunting and trapping,” said Beale, of Emlenton, who graduated from the Ross Leffler School of Conservation on Feb. 23.

Beale is also a graduate of Karns City High School.

Game wardens are responsible for administering a wide variety of agency programs within an assigned district of about 350 square miles.

Primary duties include law enforcement, responding to wildlife conflicts, conservation education and administration of the hunter-trapper education program. Wardens also are responsible for supervising and training part-time deputy game wardens.
