Drivers sought for OC Area Meals on Wheels

From staff reports

The Venango County Senior Volunteer Program, in partnership with the Oil City Area Meals on Wheels, is looking for volunteers age 55 and older to deliver hot meals to seniors.

Volunteers deliver hot, nutritious meals to home-bound seniors who are unable to cook for themselves. Delivery routes generally take less than two hours to complete and usually begin around 10:30 a.m. Volunteers drive a route once a month.

Oil City Area Meals on Wheels is an all-volunteer organization led by a volunteer board. The organization relies on volunteers to deliver meals to our local seniors.

Prospective volunteers must have a current driver license and insurance and successfully pass a driver and criminal history check.

Anyone who is interested in volunteering should call the SVP office at (814) 432-9723.
