It was a beautiful evening for sitting in a lawn chair listening to some great music. That is precisely what family and friends did on Wednesday, May 19, when Cranberry High School hosted its annual Choir Concert outdoors.

During the performance, audience members listened to a variety of compositions, which totaled 12 songs. With performances from Senior High Choir, Select Choir, Women’s Choir, Men’s Choir, and Junior High Choir, 66 students participated.

While the untraditional format allowed for the unlimited number of audience members to social distance and forgo masks, it also created audio-related challenges. Despite these, the choirs were able to provide the audience with an enjoyable evening.

As stated by Cranberry’s choir director, “I am very, very happy. The kids put up with a ton of uncertainty. They were able to put out a really good product, even though the details were working against us.”
