Cranberry students find success at Edge of Extinction games

Cranberry School District had several successful teams at Clarion University’s Edge of Extinction Tournament which was held Thursday, Dec. 7. The event featured a game created by a local man and his daughters, Jason, Maia and Althia Strohm. Students who participated became well versed in several local ecosystems including Allegheny National Forest, Clarion River, Peat Bogs of the Allegheny Front and Appalachian Homestead. When play was complete, Cranberry won both the high school and the fifth/sixth grade divisions. They also placed second in the third/fourth grade division. (Submitted photo)
