Julionna Prenatt and her classmates in Angela Carothers’ first-grade class at Cranberry Elementary School recently held an art sale in their school to raise money for a new playground. The art pieces were fashioned out of household products. A volunteer group launched a plan late last year to replace an aging playground used by more than 1,000 elementary students. The 25-year-old playground is located next to the school. The new playground will be fully handicapped accessible and will feature new equipment and landscaping. (Submitted photo)
