Cranberry Aldi store open again

From staff reports

The Cranberry Aldi store was bustling Wednesday after it reopened following a month-long reconstruction project.

Sylvia Oddo, district manager of the Cranberry store, said Wednesday that customers can now walk in and shop after the “small opening.”

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, to officially reopen the store.

The store closed June 14 for an approximately $1 million project that added a fifth retail aisle, updated its looks and resurfaced the parking lot, among other upgrades.

Aldi currently has more than 1,600 stores covering 35 states, but the chain is planning to expand to 2,000 stores by 2018, according to the Aldi website.
