Community Services takes over car seat program

From staff reports

Community Services of Venango County has taken over a car seat loan program once operated through the ABC Pregnancy Center.

A news release from Community Services said the goal of the program is to make sure infants and children are safe while traveling as well as ensuring that parents and caregivers know how to keep their children properly buckled into their vehicles.

Through the program, people who need a car seat may loan one for $10 plus a $10 security deposit. Infant car seats, convertible car seats, combination car seats and booster seats are available at Community Services’ Rocky Grove site.

A rental agreement must be filled out and participants are required to watch a short video on car seat safety before a seat can be loaned.
