Collectibles store has opened in OC

Anthony Moore and Lena Wise have opened Collect 76, an Oil City shop that offers a variety of collectibles, including this Captain America shield.

A new business specializing in collectibles has opened in downtown Oil City.

Collect 76, located at 110 Center St., is owned and operated by Anthony Moore, who previously ran a similar business in Allentown.

“The name? It is the year I was born,” said Moore, who personally collects GI Joe figures, Transformers and other items that were “big in the 1980s and 1990s, my childhood.”

The shop offers a variety of collectibles ranging from body jewelry and vinyl records to action figures, comic books, flags, T-shirts and more.

Much of the merchandise consists of remakes and replicas from movies and television shows with the inventory including metal lunchboxes and glassware.

Also for sale are several limited edition products such as Living Dead dolls and Pop Heroes.

“We order from all over and try and find things you won’t normally see in Oil City,” said Lena Wise, Moore’s partner. “We want to make this fun.”
