Christ United Methodist Church of Franklin will host the Christmas musical “Light Out of the Darkness,” by Randy Vader, Jay Rouse and Rose Aspinall at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, and at 2:30 and 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13.

The musical will combine the gifts of many into a 55-voice choir with soloists, orchestra and narrators.

Due to such large turnouts in the past, a third performance has been added this year. Nursery and toddler care will be available on Saturday only.

For the past 11 years, seasonal events such as this have gathered the Christian community across denominational lines to celebrate the birth of Christ. The musical is sure to present a message of God’s light to the world, according to event organizers. The event will also include sign interpretation for the hearing impaired and wheelchair accessibility to the facility and sanctuary.

Refreshments in the church fellowship hall will follow the musical. There is no charge, but a freewill offering will be collected.

The church is located at 1135 Buffalo St., Franklin. More information is available by calling the church office at 432-3019.
