Christian dancers group starting in Oil City

From staff reports

Children of Yahweh is a new youth community praise and worship dance group that is looking for dancers in grades 3 through 12 who are interested in sharing their love for God through dance with their local churches and the community.

This group of young dancers (both boys and girls) will be under the direction of local dance studio owner Darin Paden of Oil City.

Dancers in this group are required to be a registered student at any local dance studio and will need to take ballet class each week with their home studio.

The dancers will meet weekly at The Performing Arts Academy with Darin in Oil City, where they will have a short Bible study, a time of praise and prayer, and then they will start learning choreography to praise and worship music from groups such as MercyMe, Casting Crowns, Selah, Hillsong, Kari Jobe and others.

“Once the choreography is learned, the group will take their talents into the local community in the hopes that those people watching them will see Jesus Christ through their dancing,” said organizer Belinda Paden.

Parents with children who would be interested in joining this new dance ministry group may call or text Belinda Paden at (814) 758-6256 or send an email to tpaawithdarin@gmail.com.
