Cause of Irwin fire not yet determined

From staff reports

A Franklin state police fire marshal has inspected the site of Monday’s blaze in Irwin Township that destroyed a home at 476 Georgetown Road.

Clintonville Fire Department Lt. Brayden Rea said Tuesday that the cause of the fire hasn’t yet been determined. No one was hurt, but the home occupied by Julie Eddy and her family was destroyed.

Clintonville firefighters were called to the three-story structure at about 2:30 p.m. Monday. They were joined by several neighboring departments.

Firefighters doused the flames and cleared the scene at about 4 p.m., leaving the basement to burn as it was inaccessible.
