Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Venango County hosted a “Community Day” for the first time Monday at Two Mile Run County Park. The event was free and was designed to raise awareness about what CASA and other agencies do to help area youths in need. There were a host of vendors on hand who shared various advocacies for child services. Park manager Luke Kauffman said about 450 to 500 people were in attendance on the warm, sunny day, and there were many activities for the children and adults. Future community days at Two Mile will be announced.
