Brookville bus driver facing 180 charges

A bus driver for Brookville Area School District was arraigned Thursday on 180 charges related to alleged rapes and assaults of a mentally disabled juvenile.

Keith E. Reynolds, 44, was arraigned at the office of district judge Gregory M. Bazylak in Brookville on 20 counts each of rape of a mentally disabled person, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person with a mental disability, unlawful contact with a minor – sexual offenses, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault when the complainant suffers a mental disability, incest with a minor when the complainant is 13-18 years old, endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors and indecent assault of a person with mental disability.

A total of 160 of the charges are felonies.

Brookville Superintendent Robin Fillman said in a post to district residents that the school district “is working closely with Brookville Borough Police to provide timely communication to parents.”

Reynolds was lodged in the Jefferson County jail after failing to post $70,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled Thursday.
