A man’s body was found Wednesday morning along the road at McPherson Road and Route 62 in President Township.
Venango County Coroner Christina Rugh said her office was notified at about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday.
The man’s name hadn’t been released Wednesday evening because he has children outside the area who hadn’t yet been notified, Rugh said. She added that the man was 56 years old.
An autopsy is planned this morning in Erie, Rugh said.
Franklin state police are investigating the incident, and more information from police is expected today.
