Blood drive set Thursday in Seneca

From staff reports

UPMC Northwest will hold a blood drive for the Community Blood Bank from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

Donating blood takes between 30 and 45 minutes, in which time donors fill out paperwork, complete a short health screening, donate blood, and have a post-donation snack. Each donation can help to save up to three lives, according to a news release from the blood bank.

“While we need donors of all blood types right now, there is a critical need for Type O donors, specifically,” said Erin Tighe, a community relations specialist with the blood bank.
